ARKANSAS MAN CRASHES CAR INTO HOUSE, ARRESTED

Many car accidents in Missouri and throughout the United States are unfortunately caused by driver carelessness and recklessness, including speeding and inattentiveness. Speeding is an egregious threat because not only does it reduce the amount of time necessary to avoid a crash, it also increases the risk of crashing and makes the accident more severe if it does happen. Stopping at stop signs, and slowing down and obeying posted speed limits can go far toward making the roads safer.

Cars can be very dangerous on and off the streets. An Arkansas man was arrested after crashing his car into a home. According to police, the man did not stop at a stop sign and careened 209 feet through a yard. The man hit a hot tub on the back patio of the home. The crash destroyed two walls and pushed a family room couch across the room, hitting the home owner’s 13-year-old son who was watching television.

The Honda Accord involved in the car accident just missed a bedroom where two other children were sleeping. Police said there were two adults and four children in the home at the time of the accident, however no one was injured. The house, though, had damage estimated at $75,000.

The owner of the car was charged with a drug-related DWI, possession of drug paraphernalia and careless driving. He was being held on $1,310 bond.

Some of the most serious traffic accidents are collisions caused by speeding drivers and drivers making unsafe passes on multi-lane highways. These drivers take unreasonable risks, driving negligently, carelessly, and recklessly. Should it be found that a car accident could have been prevented if the proper precautions had been taken, any injured individuals may want to consider contacting an experienced personal injury attorney to determine whether they have a car accident case.
